Former Engineering Manager Finds Future in Franchising Opens New Signs Now Center and Offers "Green" Sign Making Technology
Waterford, Mich. August 26, 2010 - In 2008, local businessman Tom Kiihr became another casualty of the U.S. auto crisis and failing economy. Along with thousands of others, his engineering management position with Delphi was eliminated after the company declared bankruptcy. After some job searching and coming to the realization that he no longer wanted to get back into the corporate world, Kiihr decided to consider franchising. This month, he opened a brand new Signs Now center at 5368 Dixie Highway. An open house and grand opening will be scheduled in the near future.

Sarasota, Fla. August 10, 2010 - Several team members from Signs Now headquarters in Sarasota, Fla. recently completed a volunteer wrap project to be proud of. Representatives of Southern Manatee Fire & Rescue recently called on Signs Now Technical Support Director Lee Manevitch to request the donation of vehicle lettering for their Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride. After learning their mission was to tow a trailer to New Jersey and pick up a beam from the skeleton of the World Trade Center to incorporate into a local monument to those who lost their lives in the collapse of the twin towers on Sept. 11, 2001, Manevitch decided the project required more than lettering.
